Collation Charset

Olá pessoal,

estou tendo problemas com os acentos, o meu servidor é um linux(na locaweb) e o mssql ta na locaweb

Status=ONLINE, Updateability=READ_WRITE, UserAccess=MULTI_USER, Recovery=FULL, Version=611, Collation=SQL_Latin1_General_CP850_CI_AI, SQLSortOrder=44, IsAutoCreateStatistics, IsAutoUpdateStatistics, IsFullTextEnabled
os acentos ficam tudo zuados, o encoding da pagina é <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />

acho que pode ser o freetds talvez.

Se alguem souber como resolver eu agradeço.
